Contiental Airlines/Contiental Express Question?
Im flying This weekend Out of BWI. (Baltmore) And I have a Layover In IAH. (Houston) Then a Flight into COS (Colorado Springs). The airline into COS is CO2885 OPR BY ** EXPRESSJET AIRLINES INC DBA CO EXPRESS And a got a letter from Orbitz saying - Please check in with the operating carrier Which was next to ExpressJet. So once I get to Houston Do we have to go to baggage claim then recheck in with the airline and then go back through security, if so were screwed because we only have a 45 minute layover?!

if you already have your ticket or boarding pass you don't need to, (If your bags are checked thru to Colorado Springs) and they also can most likely check you in at the gate provided you are within the security area, so DON'T leave the security gate area when you get off your 1st flight, if you can help it. Make sure your bags are checked thru to colorado springs, and you won't have to worry about that. enjoy your trip!

No.. The airlines will give you both boarding passes, and check your luggage all the way thru to COS.

ExpressJet or any other carrier designated as Continental Express or Continental Connection, have the same benefits, perks and amenities available to them as mainline Continental. All carriers operating within the US (save Southwest), have what's called an 'Interline ticketing agreement', which basically means that they can sell tickets/seats and exchange luggage between the different airlines. As long as your luggage is tagged to COS via a IAH connection, there is no problem. Just pick up your bags in COS. It IS of course, in your very best interest to verify your baggage tags at the point where you check them, to ensure that those bags have in fact, been checked to your final destination. Regarding your 45 minute connection time... CO's operation in IAH is HUGE. They operate out of Terminals B,C,D and E. You will most likely arrive into Terminal C or E, and make your connection to Terminal B. Here is a map of Continental's Terminal operations at IAH for you to study. http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/content/travel/airport/maps/iah.aspx You really should be fine, but you probably won't have time to stop for a 'Don't Mess with Texas' t-shirt! Just watch for the signage to either the shuttle bus or tram to terminal C, and of course, ask any representative you see for directions if you need to. Have a good flight.
