Does anyone have any good honeymoon ideas for someone on a budget?
I am getting married next spring and we are trying to figure out where we want to go for our honeymoon. We have managed to get the entire wedding due to family contributions and much bargain shopping under $2,500. However, we just bought a house, and I lost my job, so much of the money we had saved is now gone. I started a new job, but it's only enough to cover the bills, so replenishing that savings is highly unlikely. We were originally planning on going to Cozumel, Mexico for our honeymoon to go scuba diving (we are both avid divers) and enjoy the beach, but that is looking to be at the upper end of our budget now. We discussed Colorado, Chicago, and a couple other places, but aren't sure what we would do. Plus, if we have to pay all kinds of fees to do things, it won't save a ton of money. I hate camping, and cruises are out because we both would go stir crazy. We love being active, musicals, opera, history, and just exploring, but think that a week in any one place would be too much. We live in the Midwest, so a flight to pretty much anywhere is expensive. If anyone lives in a good vacation/honeymoon area and has any recommendations that would be great too. Thanks!

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
