DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Colorado angry for fifth abode amid the states for assets in small-business application in August, up from July's 12th-place finish, alike admitting aftermost month's allotment access in small-business jobs was lower than in July.

That's according to the latest account Baby Business Index from Intuit Inc., appear Wednesday.

Colorado small-business application rose by 0.11 percent in August from July levels, beneath the state's 0.16 percent accretion in July. But that was abundant to put the accompaniment in a four-way tie for fifth abode amid the states for job assets at baby businesses.

Colorado ranked in 12th abode in July, seventh abode in June, 10th in May, 23rd in June and 12th in January, February and March, Intuit said.

In August, Utah saw the nation's better small-business job gains, up bisected a percent. Florida, Mississippi and South Carolina all angry for additional place, with assets of 0.13 percent.
