Flying in to and out of Denver International!?
Ok. stay with me here guys. I will be flying into DIA via Air Tran from ATL, landing in Terminal A. Because we had to make some flight changes, I ended up adding a leg (outside of my existing reservation) from Denver to Colorado Springs. Which in terms means, because I'm changing airlines, I will have to come out of the security gate, grab my bag( i will be gone for 2wks, theres no carrying on only), then proceed to Frontiers check in, to the quickest route possible, the back into Terminal A. My flight in from Atl is scheduled to land in Denver at 144 my next flight to COS is at 326. the following one was at 7ish, and was pushing time frames... In all honesty how big of a chance do I have to make this flight, and if you have any pointers in the quickest ways to get through this as possible please by all means give them? I have flown a lot, in the states and international, but never through Denver, I have picked the map of the airport apart and, I don't understand how the levels work. It states wait times at security are short. Ok help me out here! Thanks so much!!

I strongly believe that you will make the flight with no worries. Air Tran usually uses gate A48, so once departing the plane, turn left following the signs to the baggage claim. You have two choices, walking over the pedestrian bridge to the main terminal (go upstairs) or take the train (go downstairs). Both will get you to the baggage claim before your luggage does, so it just depends on do you want to walk or ride for a bit. Once you get to the main terminal, Air Tran almost exclusively uses carousel 9 (at the south end of the east side of the terminal) on level 5. If you used the train, you are forced to go upstairs to level 5 via escalators. If you walked the bridge, go downstairs to the level 5. Get your bag. Once you get your bag, you need to go up one level (level 6) and head to the north end of the east side of the terminal where you check in with Frontier. Frontier is the second largest carrier at DIA (after United), so they should have plenty of check in agents. Check in. You can now either walk to the A gates over the pedestrian bridge (same level), or take the train. A quick check of the security checkpoints will make your decision. There is a large open area from level 6 so you can gauge the security queue looking down on level 5. If the train appears really short (under 5 minutes), I would go that route, otherwise stay on level 6 and take the bridge over. Denver is a really easy airport, and you should have no worries. If you think you are getting pressed for time, take your case (ask politely) to expedite at either the Frontier check in counters or the security gates.

Testers' answer was perfect...... The only thing I'd add to it is a recommendation to go all the way to the south end of the Frontier check-in area and use the automated kiosks to check in, as opposed to waiting in line. As Frontier IS the second largest airline at DIA, they also have the second longest lines!!!
