Buying this dog off craigslist does it sound like a scam?
This is the email she sent me: Hi there, thanks for the mail. Jack and Daisy and Princess are the three available dogs out of four (a male and two female). They are hand raised and home trained with all papers, has been fully checked, Akc reg and have a good relationship with other pets and well trained too. They are ready to go for adoption with free crate and toys. I am looking for a good home and will meet up any requirements if need to be shipped. They will also come with a pedigree. They are 10 weeks old and will be going out for $200 for each shipping included and a free crate and other accessories. I am giving them for adoption because i just got here for a new job and the job requires a lot of time so i immediately realized that they are going to be lonely and as you know perfectly well that they are delicate creatures and need a lot of love, care and devotion and that is why i have decided to give them out to a loving and caring home where they will be loved and will be given all the time they need. So if you are interested, get back lets see how they get home. where are you located and How soon do you want the dogs? and if needs to be shipped, then get back to me with your full names and the name of the closest airport to your location so that i should contact the shipping agency right away for flight reservation. Also include your phone number and your full home address if you will like to have them delivered directly to your house because right now, i am in COLORADO SPRINGS and they will be coming from here ok. References available get back ASAP. Awaiting your reply

Not sure, but I wouldn't trust it. Buy you dogs localy where you can see them and meet them and make sure they are the right dogs for you.

If you are local, then go ahead and make the contact and go see them, and if you want them, negotiate since there won't be a shipping cost and take the dog with you when you pay. Otherwise, I wouldn't touch it. Doesn't make sense to say "shipping included" without knowing where the dog would be shipped to - the shipping and crate could eat up the entire $200 (or more), so it sounds like a scam.

It sounds like a scam to me. First of all, no one would include the shipping in the price. Shipping alone is around $200. Plus, there is no way that the dog could be delivered to your house. Anyone who gets an animal shipped to them has to go in person to pick the animal up. My guess is that they're going to steal your money and then claim that something happened during the "transit" process and you'll be out of $200.
